Our communications company has advised us to shut down our phone system completely to avoid any damage that could be caused if severe weather impacts our area.
This means that no calls will be directed to our voicemail system or call log Friday September 8th through Monday September 11th.
Shutting the system down ensures that our system will be up and running as expected, so long as our area has power, phone service and our building has not sustained damage.
At 4:30pm today, our phone system will be shut down. We shall do our best to accept and return calls as quickly and efficiently as possible today, but please understand we have a “skeleton” crew, as many staff members are out preparing their homes for this unpredictable storm or they are out with their children because schools have been closed to open shelters. If we are fortunate enough to avoid a direct impact from Irma, we are still going to feel the effects of tropical storm force winds and severe weather throughout the weekend and possibly Monday due to the sheer size of this storm.
Please refer to our website for updates, especially as this storm presses closer to Florida. Our thoughts are with the many people already impacted by this powerful storm, as well as our neighbors in south Florida and the east coast as they also prepare for Hurricane Irma. To all that are in Florida, stay safe and continue to prepare! To our other members, we thank you for your patience and understanding!
