Patty Lager, BA Biology, MS Biology and Biochemistry, Detoxification Specialist
Patty Lager graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Louis University with a BA in Biology, as well as graduated with a MS in Biology (Biochemistry focus) from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Patty has also attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University (taking courses in Gross Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Pathology, Embryology, Histology, Biochemistry, and Clinical Medicine). She decided to leave medicine to pursue a career as a College Professor (teaching others about how the human body works has always been a passion of hers). From 2001 – 2016, Patty has primarily taught Human Anatomy and Physiology and Biochemistry to Pre-Nursing students, and was granted tenure in 2009 at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL.
While in medical school, Patty did an internship with Joel Fuhrman MD to become more familiar with how water fasting can help the body heal. Inspired by the patients she was assisting, she decided to join them in a 26 day water fast. While working with Dr. Fuhrman, Patty became familiar with the science of Natural Hygiene. In 2010, Patty even studied coursework at the University of Natural Health to become more acquainted with Natural Hygiene.
In 2010, Patty’s oldest dog became ill. Seeing how traditional veterinary medicine was not helping her, she began researching alternatives. She began working with Dr. Larry Bernstein, a homeopathic Veterinarian in Miami Florida. Amazed by the results she had witnessed in her dog’s health, Patty decided to take course work in using homeopathy for pets and people to help alleviate negative symptoms. In 2011, Patty became familiar with the work of Dr. Morse, and began studying the medicinal herbs and glandulars. She began working with friends, family members, and animals that came her way when their bodies began to communicate to them that they were out of balance. In 2009, Patty also became certified as a Level I Reiki practitioner. In 2015, Patty completed the Level I ISOD course, and has just completed Dr. Morse's Level II/Iridology Course in September of 2016. Patty also plans to complete work to earn her Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) degree at the Kingdom College of Natural Health.
Patty absolutely loves working with both humans and animals as they embrace the exciting walk down the path to Wellvile.
Patty will be available for appointments in person or via phone/Skype starting October 10, 2016. To schedule a consultation, you can contact the Clinic and ask for appointment scheduling.
