We are always looking for ways to improve, and ways to make things easier for everyone. At times this can become difficult, because despite our recent growth, we are still a very small company. Managing our growth, keeping things streamlined and as convenient for all of you as possible, and protecting our ability to continue offering the products and services so badly needed has become a considerable balancing act!
One of the largest complaints we receive (and we do listen!) regards shipping times and the signature requirement for orders. Our shipping department prides itself on working hard to pack and process orders as quickly as possible, with a high degree of accuracy. We have begun our latest expansion phase—where our Shipping Department will finally get the space and equipment they need for higher efficiency! They will begin their move to the new units within the next couple weeks. We do have plans to keep orders moving consistently during the move, but kindly ask for a little patience and understanding as we complete the moving process.
The other complaint pertains to the signature requirement for orders. This was originally implemented because of a high number of claims filed for lost or stolen packages. Whether a claim is made with us and we replace the product ourselves, or a claim is filed with the credit card company (where they revoke the payment), such claims are a financial hit to us. Dr. Morse is very diligent about providing the highest quality products and maintaining the lowest prices possible in order to make them as affordable as possible, for as many as possible. Even just a couple package claims can take a tremendous toll, and the higher the number of claims the more it hurts our ability to provide the services we offer.
The signature requirement was implemented due to the sheer number of claims we received for packages that tracking reports had showed were delivered (and it was a lot…not just one or two that triggered this). Even years after implementing the signature requirement, we still receive phone calls stating someone has not received their package (when we have a signature to verify they did). Having the signature requirement in place has lifted the burden from our shipping department considerably in researching and answering these claims.
However, we realize this places a burden on many of you, and will be implementing a solution that we hope will make things more convenient for all of our members, while at the same time protecting us from spurious claims.
We have created a Shipping Signature Release, a link to which is on the main page of our website. By signing this document you will essentially state that you are not holding us liable for loss or theft, and if your package is lost or stolen you will pursue a claim with the shipping carrier. You will only need to sign this document once, we will place a note on your account and all future orders will waive the signature at delivery requirement. You can access the waiver by clicking here or by clicking on the banner at the top of the main page of the website.
If you do not choose to accept responsibility for orders, we will still require a signature at delivery.
